1. PAYMENT OF FEES
- Lessons are invoiced for each full term or pro rata for late enrolments with payment due in full as specified. (Please note, requests to invoice for less than a full term cannot be accommodated and missed lessons are not able to be refunded/credited - see point 3 below. Musical Keys reserves the right to refuse services to students where payment has not been received by invoice due date).
- Lessons are held on a weekly basis and Musical Keys terms generally run in line with Victorian state school term dates unless otherwise notified (NOTE: lessons are not charged for, or provided during term breaks or on Public Holidays).
- All materials (allow approx $100 per year) purchased on students’ behalf are to be paid for with the fees as invoiced, or at the student’s next lesson if provided after the start of term.
- A non-refundable $20 enrolment fee applies to new enrolments. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is also payable on enrolment to secure a place in a class, and $120 is payable each December to secure a place for the following year (deposit fee is deducted from tuition fees). Start dates are subject to email confirmation. In the event that the class does not run the deposit will be refunded, or transferred to private tuition should the student commence private lessons.
- Re-enrolment into terms 2, 3 and 4 is confirmed by payment of subsequent term fees in full by the last lesson of the term prior.
- Lesson times may vary slightly from term to term at Musical Keys’ discretion due to timetabling needs.
- Scheduling / grouping of students is performed according to student’s ability and may change, depending on student’s progress. In the event that a student is recommended for individual lessons (in addition to, or instead of group lessons) this will be discussed with the parent/guardian.
- Group classes (3-5 students) run for 45 minutes; Duo classes (2 students) run for 30 minutes. Fees are the same for either Group or Duo classes.
- Musical Keys reserves the right to cancel classes that do not meet the enrolment quota, or to run Group classes that have less than 3 students present at lessons as a Duo lesson (30 minutes) whether due to student absences or discontinuations.
- In the event of discontinuation please provide a minimum of 4 week’s written notice prior to term finish (via email). No refunds are given for discontinuation.
- A lesson that is missed by the student, for whatever reason, is not made up, refunded, credited, or transferred. In the event of contagious illness (symptoms of respiratory infection and/or fever, gastro etc) please do not attend the lesson in-person - written instructions and video recordings will be sent as appropriate.
- In the event that Musical Keys cancels a lesson a rescheduled time may be offered, subject to availability. If the student is unable to attend, a credit for that lesson will be issued on the following term’s invoice or reimbursed in the event of discontinuation.
- A parent/guardian is required to attend lessons with children aged 4-6 years. Parent/guardian attendance is encouraged for the first term of enrolment with children aged 7 years and over. If the student has been dropped off a parent/guardian is required to pick up the student from the front door at the end of the lesson. Care is unable to be provided after the lesson time has finished and Musical Keys takes no responsibility for students once they have left the front door of the premise.
- Please ensure all contact details are kept up to date and phone contacts are available during lesson times in the event of an emergency.
- Siblings are unable to be accommodated due to limited space.
Food, chewing gum and drinks are not to be consumed in the studio or during lessons.
